SYNOPSIS
On the death anniversary of his Grandfather, Trịnh is filming what he calls a “cultural narrative visual poem” with a vintage camcorder, centering on his ‘Asian-Australian’ identity. As he films a Mexican hammock, his sister, Cindy, asks him to pay his respects for a change at the altar.
In his ungracious efforts to exploit this cultural practice, Trịnh knocks over his Grandfather's photograph. The frame is broken. Cindy is livid. A montage of vivid images unravels, spiritual punishment, and confrontations which reveal what it really means to film his culture.
